MY SPECIALTIES

My approach is deeply person-centered, prioritizing a strong therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, and unconditional positive regard—key elements for healing. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, somatic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and neurorelational and attachment-based approaches. My practice is also heavily trauma-informed, ensuring that each individual receives the support and care they need.
HOLISTIC THERAPY
Holistic therapy takes a comprehensive approach to healing, addressing the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected aspects of well-being. It recognizes that emotional, physical, and mental health are deeply linked, and that true healing involves nurturing all these areas. Through a combination of therapeutic modalities, holistic therapy works to restore balance and harmony in an individual’s life. Whether through talk therapy, body-focused practices, mindfulness, or other integrative techniques, holistic therapy aims to support individuals in achieving optimal wellness by treating the root causes of distress, not just the symptoms. It empowers clients to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and healing in a compassionate and supportive environment.
DEPRESSION & ANXIETY
Anxiety and depression are two of the most common challenges people face, and they can impact every aspect of life, from work and relationships to physical health and overall well-being. In therapy, we focus on understanding the root causes of these feelings and work together to develop personalized strategies for managing and overcoming them. By combining evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques, we can address the thoughts and behaviors that fuel anxiety and depression. My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and regain a sense of calm and control in your life. You don't have to face these challenges alone—support and healing are possible.
SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY
Solution-focused therapy is a strengths-based, goal-oriented approach that focuses on finding practical solutions to challenges, rather than delving deeply into past problems. In therapy, we work together to identify your strengths, resources, and previous successes, and use those to create actionable steps toward achieving your desired outcomes. This approach is future-focused, helping you build confidence and develop strategies to overcome obstacles while fostering a sense of empowerment. If you're looking for effective and focused solutions to improve your life, solution-focused therapy can help you make meaningful progress in a short amount of time.
CPTSD, PTSD, & GRIEF
Complex trauma and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can deeply affect your emotional, mental, and physical well-being, often stemming from prolonged or repeated exposure to traumatic events, such as abuse, neglect, or violence. Unlike a single traumatic incident, complex trauma involves multiple, often long-term, stressors that can disrupt your sense of safety, self-worth, and trust in others. PTSD can manifest in flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance, and avoidance behaviors, creating significant challenges in daily life. Therapy for complex trauma and PTSD focuses on providing a safe and supportive space to process and heal from these experiences, helping you regain control, rebuild trust, and foster resilience. Through trauma-informed approaches, we work together to create a path to healing, empowering you to reclaim your life and move forward with strength and hope. Grief is a deeply personal and complex experience that can arise from loss in many forms—whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or a significant life change. It is not a linear process but rather a journey that unfolds differently for everyone, often bringing waves of emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, and even moments of relief or peace. While grief can feel overwhelming, it is a natural response to loss and an important part of healing. With time, support, and self-compassion, individuals can learn to navigate their emotions, find meaning in their experience, and move forward while still honoring what was lost. If you're struggling with grief, know that you don’t have to go through it alone—seeking support from a therapist can provide guidance, validation, and coping strategies to help you through this difficult time.
ATTACHMENT, ADOPTION & INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS
Attachment and Internal Family Systems (IFS) are therapeutic approaches that focus on understanding and healing the deep-seated patterns formed in early relationships and the various parts of the self. Attachment theory explores how early bonding experiences with caregivers shape our ability to form healthy relationships, trust others, and navigate emotional challenges. When attachment wounds occur, they can impact our self-esteem and ability to connect with others. Internal Family Systems (IFS) builds on this by recognizing that our psyche is made up of different "parts," each with its own beliefs, feelings, and behaviors. Some parts may protect us, while others may carry pain or unresolved trauma. In therapy, we work together to understand and heal these parts, fostering a sense of inner harmony and improving your ability to connect with yourself and others. This compassionate, integrative approach supports emotional healing and the development of healthier relationships.
PARENTING & MOTHERHOOD CHALLENGES
Parenting and motherhood can be incredibly rewarding, but they also come with their own unique set of challenges. Juggling the demands of raising children, maintaining relationships, and managing personal responsibilities can feel overwhelming at times. Many mothers struggle with feelings of guilt, stress, or burnout as they try to balance it all, while also navigating changes in their identity, relationships, and personal well-being. Therapy can provide a supportive space to address these challenges, helping you explore your emotions, set boundaries, and develop strategies for self-care. Whether you're navigating the transition to motherhood, managing the complexities of raising children, or seeking to reconnect with your own needs and goals, therapy can offer the guidance and tools to help you thrive as a parent.
SELF ESTEEM & BODY IMAGE
Struggling with self-esteem and body image issues can deeply impact your overall well-being, affecting how you perceive yourself and your place in the world. Negative thoughts about your body and self-worth often stem from societal pressures, past experiences, or internalized beliefs, and can lead to feelings of inadequacy, shame, and anxiety. Therapy offers a supportive space to explore these struggles, challenge distorted self-perceptions, and build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with your body. Together, we will work on boosting your self-esteem, fostering self-acceptance, and developing positive coping strategies, so you can embrace who you are and feel confident in your own skin. Through techniques like cognitive restructuring and body-positive practices, therapy can help you reclaim your sense of self and promote lasting, authentic change.
STRESS & BURNOUT
Stress and burnout are increasingly common challenges that can significantly impact your well-being and overall quality of life. Stress is a natural response to external pressures, but when it becomes chronic, it can lead to physical and emotional exhaustion, affecting your mental clarity, energy levels, and ability to cope with everyday demands. Burnout, often the result of prolonged stress, occurs when you feel overwhelmed, disengaged, and unable to find joy or satisfaction in work or life. It can leave you feeling disconnected from your passions and drained emotionally, physically, and mentally. In therapy, we can explore the sources of your stress and burnout, identify unhealthy patterns, and develop practical strategies to regain balance, restore energy, and create a sustainable approach to life that supports your mental and physical health.
PERFECTIONISM & OCD
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and perfectionism often go hand in hand, creating a cycle of constant worry, rigid thinking, and the relentless pursuit of flawlessness. Those struggling with OCD may experience intrusive, unwanted thoughts and feel compelled to engage in repetitive behaviors or rituals in an effort to relieve anxiety. Perfectionism, while often rooted in a desire for control or success, can also lead to feelings of frustration, self-criticism, and a constant fear of making mistakes. In therapy, we work to identify the underlying thoughts and behaviors that contribute to these challenges, and develop healthier coping strategies to break free from the cycle of obsession and perfectionism. Together, we can explore techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge negative thought patterns, reduce anxiety, and promote self-compassion and flexibility.
CHILDHOOD BEHAVIORAL CONCERNS
Childhood behavioral concerns can manifest in many ways, from difficulty following rules and managing emotions to challenges with social interactions or school performance. These behaviors are often a child’s way of expressing unmet needs, trauma, or struggles they may not have the words to articulate. Therapy offers a safe environment for children to express themselves, helping to identify the underlying causes of their behaviors. By using play therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, and family-based interventions, we can work together to address the root causes and create positive, lasting changes. Whether it’s helping your child manage anxiety, improve impulse control, or develop healthier communication skills, therapy provides tools and strategies to support their emotional growth and development.
