If you’re ready to begin your therapy journey, please complete the contact form on our website. We’ll reach out within 24 hours to schedule a brief consultation call to ensure we’re a good fit. After your consult, if you’d like to move forward, we’ll set up your initial assessment appointment.
I believe your therapy should be guided by your individual needs, not dictated by an insurance company with no real concern for your well-being. By paying privately, you maintain full control over your confidentiality, treatment goals, and the direction of our work together. This independence allows me to provide care that is tailored to you, not to the requirements of an insurance company.
When using insurance, therapists are required to share your diagnosis and treatment details for reimbursement. This information becomes part of your permanent medical record.
Insurance companies also tend to restrict therapy by mandating certain “approved” treatment methods (like CBT) and by limiting the number of sessions you can receive.
Paying privately ensures we have the freedom to move at your pace and use approaches that best serve you, not an insurance company’s bottom line.

We may be a good fit if you:
Are struggling with anxiety and want to improve your relationship with yourself and others, or if you have a history of complex trauma.
Are seeking to understand how your past influences your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Want to learn practical, evidence-based tools for coping with stress and difficult situations.
Have experienced challenging or stressful events and are looking for support in processing them.
Are open to being gently challenged and stepping outside your comfort zone for growth.
Are interested in a holistic approach to therapy that looks at your psychology, environment, and mind-body connection.
Your first session is always an intake session. During this meeting, your therapist will ask standard questions and gather background information to better understand your concerns and the issues you’re seeking help with. This session also gives you a chance to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship.
In the initial sessions, we'll explore various questions to gain a deep understanding of your history and personal experiences. Together, we'll set goals, and your therapist will create a tailored treatment plan to guide your journey. Many people worry they might "jump all over the place" or "trauma dump" during their first session, rest assured, that's completely normal and okay! We're here to help you feel safe and supported as you begin your process.
Research shows that consistent therapy sessions at the start of treatment often lead to better outcomes. We recommend committing to weekly sessions for the first 8 weeks. As we monitor your progress and adjust to your needs, we may adjust the frequency, either increasing or transitioning to biweekly or monthly sessions.
Our therapeutic approach is active and goal-oriented, focusing on listening attentively and providing space for you to process your thoughts. We also equip you with personalized, evidence-based tools to help you navigate your challenges. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, ensuring a supportive and effective experience. However, therapy is not about being told what to do; it's about collaboration and empowering you to find your own solutions.

Concierge therapy is a personalized, high-touch approach to mental health care. It allows you direct access to your therapist without the limitations of insurance or standard office models. Sessions are tailored to your specific needs, and you can expect flexible scheduling, increased privacy, and a more collaborative experience. By working privately, your therapist can focus fully on your goals not on meeting insurance requirements.
Concierge therapy is ideal for individuals who value privacy, flexibility, and a more personalized approach to mental health care. It’s designed for people who want a deeper, more collaborative therapeutic relationship without the restrictions of insurance. Whether you’re a busy professional, high profile individual, or someone who prefers to move at their own pace, concierge therapy offers the space and freedom to focus entirely on your growth and goals.
This model isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. If you’re looking to use insurance, need immediate crisis support, or prefer a more structured, medical-style approach, concierge therapy might not be the right fit. It’s best suited for people who want flexibility, privacy, and a deeper, more collaborative process.
Research consistently shows that telemental is just as effective as traditional in-person sessions. The American Psychological Association (APA) reports that “telehealth is not only clinically effective but also preferred by many patients” and that “telehealth can be as effective as in-person therapy.”
In fact, another APA study found that the use of online therapy increased by more than 50% between 2019 and 2020. This growth reflects not only its proven effectiveness but also the convenience, flexibility, and accessibility it offers. Online therapy helps remove barriers like transportation, scheduling conflicts, or mobility challenges, making quality mental health care easier to access for more people.

Kat meets with clients virtually using a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. This allows for real face-to-face connection and authentic interaction that closely mirrors the in-person therapy experience. Through video, Kat can still observe nonverbal cues, like facial expressions and body language just as she would in the office. You’ll also be able to see and engage with your therapist directly, creating space for open and meaningful conversation. Sessions can be easily accessed from your computer, tablet, or smartphone from a private, secure location.
