HEALING THROUGH ADVOCATION AND EDUCATION

Art Well Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating independently from Artwell Counseling. We were founded on the belief that every child, adolescent, and young adult deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or background. Sadly, many young people face significant mental health challenges including those rooted in unresolved trauma, and far too many suffer in silence due to financial barriers and limited access to care. We are here to change that.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to advocating for the mental health needs of children and adolescents, with a specific focus on treating childhood trauma and preventing youth suicide. Early intervention is critical. Unaddressed trauma in children often leads to emotional distress, behavioral struggles, and an increased risk of suicidal thoughts and actions as they grow older. At

Art Well Institute, we work to break this cycle by offering trauma-informed care and creative therapeutic outlets that empower young people to heal, grow, and thrive. We believe in the transformative power of creative expression—through art, storytelling, and other forms of self-discovery—as a vital part of the healing process. Our programs are designed to support children and teens in building resilience, processing their experiences, and finding hope & purpose.

Art Well Institute is funded by the generosity of our community—people who share our vision of a world where every child has access to life-saving mental health care. Every donation helps us expand our reach, provide trauma-informed services, and intervene before a crisis becomes a tragedy.
